By the end of Spring 2026, before the final installment of the Colopy Endowment, the CEP should establish a non-discretionary fund of at least $50,000 to support student-led activities, entrepreneurship programming, and academic enrichment tied to CEP initiatives.

form two active community partnerships by fall 2026

By Fall 2026, the CEP should form at least two formal partnerships with local businesses or organizations in the Triangle to serve as clients for students to engage in VBL within their courses of study.

launch a
cross-department task force by fall 2025

Colopy Entrepreneurship Program (CEP) should establish a Faculty Entrepreneurship Task Force composed of all faculty who currently lead or support entrepreneurship-related programming at NCSSM. The task force should meet at least once per semester to align initiatives and coordinate efforts under the CEP umbrella to streamline support for student ventures and innovation.

offer three digital badges aligned with state standards by the end of 2027

In line with NCDPI's "Portrait of a Graduate," the CEP should offer at least three verifiable digital badges that recognize student competencies in the entrepreneurial skills identified by the framework. For credibility, these badges should be accessible through a public platform and tied to student evidence or portfolios.
