Résumés can be hard. I even sent in a two-pager once...desperate, I know....but can you blame me? In this market, I have to stand out among the hundreds or thousands of other applicants trying to make a living. I take a breath of gratitude knowing there are others who "need" paid roles more than myself. And I can admit that sometimes, other applicants may want a role at a company "more" than I do.

But I didn't get this Masters in Educational Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship for nothin'. I've accelerated myself to this high degree in the Arts of Education because I wanted to learn how to 'Propel the World'—how to build humans up and fill them with life's possibilities. This is the academe I've endured for more than 20% of the time I've been alive.

I'm grateful for the educational opportunities I've received throughout my youth, in NYC,

at Saint Mark’s School, and at UNC. They’ve granted me connections to ambitious people I've been pleased to work with toward important goals. My background and my network—old friends, peers, and new companions—have inspired me toward a professional life of consequence.

For me, living a life of consequence means using my lessons and connections to create opportunity for

others. It means building bridges where walls stand and ensuring the knowledge I've gained serves a

more equitable future for all.

Below are the formal experiences that make me the confident, impactful professional I am.

Community Outreach Intern
Town of Chapel Hill - Transit

When I saw the Town of Chapel Hill was finally outsourcing its live scheduling to the Transit app, I knew I wanted to be a part of the team making sure everyone in town knew its value. During my internship, I've unlocked new data for CHTransit's operations, created social media content, spread transit resources at tabling events around town and even on the bus while in motion! I'm finishing up my internship updating CHT's route maps and schedules so our community is updated and ready to ride.

Thanks to the MEITE program, I was able to intern at America's #1 public high school. What an experience – to immerse myself in the pinnacle of education innovation while contributing meaningfully to its AI policy, faculty learning, and the development of its brand-new Colopy Entrepreneurship Program. I'll never forget my time as a member of the Admissions Selection Committee, especially. Read about it in this blog post

EdTech Specialist

Carrboro High School

For my senior capstone in the HDFS program, I spent 350 hours as a volunteer consultant at a local public high school. With little direction, I quickly felt responsible for changing public education entirely. Along with teaching assistance in four sections of diversified classes, I also spent my time developing a custom LLM for educators to create federally-compliant learning goals for students with Individualized Education Plans. That's when I realized the transformative potential of Generative AI to personalize learning for all, so I made another inquisitive GPT that could take a teachers lesson, and with some information on a students interests, create material likely to intrinsically motivate the student to learn.

résumé?

The first résumé on record dates to 1498; sent to the Duke of Milan by none other than Leonardo da Vinci—he humbly wrote:  I shall endeavor, without prejudice to any one else, to explain myself to your Excellency, showing your Lordship my secret, and then offering them to your best pleasure and approbation to work with effect at opportune moments on all those things which, in part, shall be briefly noted below.
